Deinhardt Design Gretchen

design is named for a special person, friend, and woman, who also happens to be a retailer of
DEINHARDT DESIGNS; Gretchen (Salado Creek Equestrian Boutique).

Gretchen is influential to many, as a school teacher, horsewoman, store owner, friend, and so much more.
She was one of the very first stores to bring Deinhardt Designs in, and she has been such a support both
personally and professionally to me ever since. While I was helping out in the Halter Ego booth at a
tradeshow, Gretchen came in to see the Halter Ego team and spotted me wearing one of my shirts - this
was the very first time I ever wore a Deinhardt Designs top in public. She said she loved it, and asked me
about ordering some for her shop. Upon seeing the other designs, she saw the Monarch design and
immediately got emotional - she was kind enough to share with me that butterflies hold a special
significance to her because of her very good friend, who loved butterflies, who was unfortunately lost to
Lymphoma. I shared with her the significance of butterflies to me, and knew we would be fast friends.

The symbols of Lymphoma is often a lime-green butterfly, as we would learn - so when I designed a print
for Gretchen, it simply couldn’t be anything else.

A portion of the proceeds from sales of this design will be donated to the Lymphoma Research
Foundation in honor of Gretchen’s late friend, and the many who have lost their lives or loved ones to
Lymphoma.
